Wednesday July 5: 50 Songs in 90 Days Songwriter Challenge Kick Off Party! Put everything Danielle taught you to practice by joining the online shenanigans while you create new music over the next 90 days. We’ll review songwriting techniques and then build a support network to make this a fun summer of abandoning cover songs and making new music. We will learn that failure is indeed a glorious and helpful option. [$10. Pre-register by calling 303-984-0777 or emailing garyjugert@yahoo.com. Grant Street.]

Tuesday July 11: Jumping Flea Arpeggiator Kick Off Party! 30-Days to Advanced Ukulele. Learn every chord in every inversion in every key. This will be a self-paced (sorta) course where you will make a video of you playing each arpeggio each day (more or less) and then you will post them to a group account. It’ll be intense and you’ll be an expert at the end of the month. [$30. Pre-register by calling 303-984-0777 or emailing garyjugert@yahoo.com. Grant Street.]

Wednesday July 12: Bar Chord and Chord Inversions Workshop for Ukulele! One night of making your fingers hurt and suddenly you’ll forget those lonely days when B-flat was a problem. We’ll review the 16 chord shapes that make up virtually every chord you’ll ever need to create. [$10. Pre-register by calling 303-984-0777 or emailing garyjugert@yahoo.com. Grant Street.]

Tuesday July 18: Theory and Transposing! You found your song, but it’s in the key of E, or worse, E-flat. Now what? This workshop will take the mystery out of music theory and give you the tools necessary to quickly change any song into a more ukulele, baritone or guitar friendly key. We’ll simultaneously give you the music theory tools necessary to give you the power to bring any song to submission. Go circle of fifths! [$10. Pre-register by calling 303-984-0777 or emailing garyjugert@yahoo.com. Grant Street.]

Wednesday July 19: Strummers Workshop! Debbie’s done it before and she’ll do it again. Get your strumming patterns dialed in for a lifetime of ups and downs. [$10. Pre-register by calling 303-984-0777 or emailing garyjugert@yahoo.com. Grant Street.]

Tuesday July 25: Sheet Music for Ukulele, Baritone and Guitar Players! You’ll meet them out there, the “I’m a great musician and I don’t read sheet music” people. You’ll also meet the, “tablature isn’t good enough” people. And there’s the “sheet music is the answer to everything people.” Here’s the truth: Understanding all three approaches to music makes you a better, more confident musician and this class will help you wrap your head around music and paperwork. Find out where the notes on your fretboard really are and how best to represent those when reading, writing, and playing music. [$10. Pre-register by calling 303-984-0777 or emailing garyjugert@yahoo.com. Grant Street.]

Wednesday July 26: Memorize ONE Song! I know, your brain doesn’t work like it used to work. Mine doesn’t either. Still, you need to have one (more?) song in your arsenal to dazzle people who ask you to play them something. Chasing your songbook down every time you want to play something is a drag and we’ll break the memorization process down to a simple set of steps you can master time and again until you’ve built a two-hour show of miraculous music. Bring a copy of the song you want to work on to class. [$10. Pre-register by calling 303-984-0777 or emailing garyjugert@yahoo.com. Grant Street.]

Tuesday and Wednesday August 15-16: Arranging and Duets! Uh oh, scary stuff!
